The ground rules
Terms of Use
Last updated July 2026
Qisma helps friends split restaurant bills. By using it you agree to these terms. Qisma is currently in beta, so things may occasionally change or break — we'll do our best to keep your data safe either way.
What Qisma is (and isn't)
Qisma itemizes receipts with AI and does the math for splitting them. It does not move money — settling up happens between you and your friends outside the app. AI-extracted items can contain mistakes; always glance over the items and totals before finalizing a split.
Your account
Keep your login to yourself and use a name your friends will actually recognize. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can request deletion any time at marketing@abecods.com.
Fair use
Don't upload content that isn't a receipt, probe other people's splits, guess table codes, or hammer the service with automated requests. We rate-limit and may suspend accounts that abuse the beta.
Splits and guests
Hosts control their splits, including share links and table codes. Guests who join by code participate in that split only. Amounts shown are calculations based on the receipt — any disagreement about who owes what is between the people at the table.
Liability
Qisma is provided as-is during beta, without warranties. To the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect damages or for disagreements arising from a split. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us to use Qisma — which, during beta, is nothing.
Changes
We may update these terms as Qisma grows; the "last updated" date above will change when we do. Questions? marketing@abecods.com.
