Privacy Policy

Qisma is a bill-splitting app made in Qatar. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. It applies to the Qisma web app and PWA during our beta period.

What we collect

Account basics: your email, display name, and optional avatar.
Split data: receipt photos you upload, the items our AI extracts from them, who claimed what, and settlement amounts.
Guest data: if you join a split without an account, just the display name you type and your claims for that split.
Device signals: a push-notification token if you enable notifications, and standard technical logs (timestamps, status codes) to keep the service healthy.

What we use it for

Only to run the product: itemizing receipts, splitting bills, showing your history, and sending the notifications you opted into. Receipt images are processed by an AI vision service solely to extract line items.

What we never do

We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't read your receipts for marketing. We don't collect your location. Structured server logs contain IDs and status codes — never receipt images, amounts, or message content.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres and private storage buckets) with row-level security, so only you and the people in your split can read your split data. Receipt images live in a private bucket accessible only through short-lived signed links.

Deleting your data

Email marketing@abecods.com from your account address and we'll delete your profile, splits, and receipt data within 30 days.
